Christine Motta Faria is the executive editor and a writer of Tribal Gaming and Hospitality Magazine. She spends her free time experiencing and writing about how to create a sustainable and beautiful garden, vintage trailer camping and collecting, traveling, and paddleboarding. She compiled the seedling and plant sale guide in this issue.

Jaycee Grider, a Reno local and visual storyteller, has been documenting the world around her since she was 10. With more than a decade of experience, one of Jaycee’s greatest passions is witnessing the world through a camera. Her portfolio encompasses a wide range of genres, including commercial work, portraiture, and corporate and lifestyle photography. When she’s not behind the camera, Jaycee enjoys immersing herself in the vibrant arts and culture scene of the Reno-Tahoe area. She finds inspiration in the natural beauty of the region and spends her free time exploring new places, hiking, and connecting with her community. In this edition, she photographed Tahoe Bread Co.in our commercial kitchens/cottage food producers story.

Chelsea Houston is a Reno-based artist born in Maui who has called many western states home. She graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2014 with a degree in art education. Her art history classes shaped her appreciation for the past and how it colors the present and future. Primarily a painter, she often weaves elements of illustration and printmaking into her pieces. Human and fauna forms strike her most, both living and post-mortem: portraiture, skeletal studies, and captures of anatomy. Traveling and transplanting have shaped her affinity for life cycles and the stories within each living thing, from the common to the extraordinary. Her community artwork can be found throughout the Reno area. In this issue, she provided the artwork for our What’s in Season column.

Donna Victor, who shot our cover photo, is a Reno-based commercial photographer originally from Miami. Since moving to Reno, she has photographed numerous subjects for edible Reno Tahoe and loves meeting all of the local talent in the food and hospitality industry. When Donna is not photographing her commercial work, she is usually involved with her dog-portrait business, creating fine art, black-and-white portraits of your furry friends.

Donna Walden, president of greenUP!, is founder of the Nevada Green Business Network, a statewide initiative to offer green business certification to small- and medium-sized businesses, provide free assistance, and recognize efforts that save energy and water, reduce waste, and prevent pollution. She also helped create the Green Dining Nevada initiative that works with restaurants and customers to adopt sustainable dining practices. Donna also organized Sustainable Brewing Summits in fall 2022 and spring 2023, teaching best practices to 23 breweries, distilleries, and a winery.
