Edible Reno-Tahoe magazine is the region’s premier food and beverage publication. The magazine is published six times a year, including quarterly issues for each season, and promotes and celebrates the abundance of local foods in Northern Nevada and Lake Tahoe. We value local, seasonal, authentic foods and culinary traditions. edible magazine celebrates family farmers who plant the seeds and work tirelessly to bring you the freshest local produce, the ranchers and poultry farmers committed to creating healthier and more sustainable methods of working with animals and the land, the food artisans who proudly concoct delicious products, and the local chefs who continually excite us with the outstanding flavors of our area. We at edible Reno-Tahoe magazine honor their dedication to using the highest quality, local, seasonal foods, and we want to share their stories with you.
Through our printed publication, website, and events, we aim to connect consumers with local growers, retailers, chefs, and food artisans, enabling those relationships to grow and thrive in a mutually beneficial, healthful, and economically viable way. Edible Reno-Tahoe magazine is part of a growing national movement throughout the United States and Canada that is encouraging people to eat more locally grown and locally produced foods. By eating locally, we help sustain the small family farms that grow these foods, we enjoy food that is fresher and healthier for us, and we help reduce the cost to the environment — and in dollars — of transporting foods over long distances. Edible Reno-Tahoe magazine is distributed throughout the Northern Nevada, Northern California and Lake Tahoe regions and can be found in many local restaurants, grocery stores, retailers, coffee shops, and other establishments that celebrate the edible spirit.
Here in Reno-Tahoe, we are blessed with an abundance of talented writers, photographers, and artists. That just happens to be part of our mission, too: To present the extraordinary voices of Reno-Tahoe journalists and other creative types and to coax from them the tales that don’t often get told. Through edible magazine you will find out about new products, thriving traditions, or exciting food events, festivals, restaurants, and markets—all of the details that help make Reno-Tahoe a true culinary destination.
