Full Belly Deli

Full Belly Deli is adding a fourth location to its lineup, this one in South Reno near Jazmine on Double R Boulevard. The Truckee location, the restaurantโ€™s first, was opened in December 2007 by Eric Barton and Tom Marrin. The sandwich-loving duo have since opened additional locations, including its Mill Street shop in 2015 and its Midtown store in 2019. They plan to officially start serving the South Reno community in April.ย 

Tahoe Bagel Co.

The owners of Tahoe Bagel Co. say they plan to open their new location in Independence Square in Reno this month. The East Coast-style bagelry and deli, owned by Justin and Jeffrey Kaplan, has two other locations in South Lake Tahoe, which opened in 2020, and Stateline, which opened in 2022.

Wave Sushi Bar

Wave Sushi Bar is opening across the street from Greater Nevada Field in Reno in spring of 2026. The restaurant comes from a team of owners: Maria Ruiz-Tinajero, Brian Hernandez Gonzalez, Norma V. Martinez Quintana, and Oscar A. Martinez Carrillo. Oscar and Norma also own Mr. Crab Seafood Boils in Reno. Since 2024, the two couples have been perfecting their menu and sharing roles with their family members. The location, at 300 E. Second St., will be Wave Sushi’s first. It will be inside the former Mellow Fellow space.

Next Pour

A new wine-and-cocktail bar is coming to Northwest Reno. From the owners of Bighorn Tavern, Next Pour will open next door to the original Bighorn location in early to mid-2026. Next Pourโ€™s will specialize in bourbon but staff members also offer wine, cocktails, and mocktails. The owners want to create a space that is accessible to the general public and celebrates the people in their lives, with each drink named after someone they know personally such as The Megan, The Nic, The Karen, The Natalya, and The Robert. Construction is currently underway but an opening date isnโ€™t available at this time.

Ferino Distillery

After a hiatus, the Ferino Distillery tasting room reopened on Dec. 13. While the tasting room on Fourth Street in Reno has been closed for much of 2025, the distillery never stopped operating and has, in fact, been expanding in part due to Ferinoโ€™s takeover of production of Toraniโ€™s Amer liqueur used in the popular, and Nevadaโ€™s official state cocktail, Picon Punch. For the foreseeable future, visitors can visit and taste Ferinoโ€™s products โ€” and other sippers โ€” 4 โ€“ 8 p.m. Thurs. โ€“ Sat.

Great Basin Brewing Co.โ€™s Red Nose Holiday Wassail

As of Nov. 28, Great Basin Brewing Co.โ€™s Red Nose Holiday Wassail is back in stock. And not only is the favorite holiday ale a hit amongst locals, it also took home gold in the herb and spice category at the Great American Beer Festival for the first time. The win was an honor not just for Great Basinโ€™s owner, Mark Estee, but also for Brewmaster Aaron Halecky.

Los Chilaquiles Mexican Breakfast

A second location of Los Chilaquiles Mexican Breakfast is opening at the old Playfield location on Arlington Avenue in Reno. The announcement comes four years after their first location on North McCarran opened in December 2021. The family has yet to make an official announcement on social media, but a sign has gone up on the outside of the building announcing the second address.

Senior Tequilas and The Morris

The owners of 23 Downtown Reno properties received funds from the 2025/2026 ReStore Facade and Tenant Improvement Program totaling $1 million in all. The goal of the program is to revitalize commercial properties throughout Reno. Two food businesses on Fourth Street were among the awardees. Senor Tequilas and The Morris, which will house a bakery and bar as part of its development project, received part of the matching funds. In all, 13 buildings, 28 storefronts, and 11 new businesses will benefit from ReStore.

Cook’d

Cookโ€™d is coming to Reno. Owners of the popular Minden sports bar and grill announced the opening of a second location would be in May of 2026. The restaurant will take over the vacant space left by Napa-Sonoma on South Virginia Street. Owners Bryan and Lavinia Miller decided to open the second storefront after several Reno customers mentioned a need for the space. They plan to start renovations in December. In general, they said the menu will be the same as the Minden location but with an elevated โ€” and expanded โ€” wine list.

Yarrow

Yarrow, Sugar Bowl Resortโ€™s newest dining concept, is set to open to resort guests and the larger community in January 2026. The modern and creative menu will offer California cuisine with an alpine twist, with Traci Des Jardins, Sugar Bowlโ€™s culinary advisor, at the helm. Sommelier Clay Reynolds will head up the wine and cocktail program. In addition to a casual dining room, a two-tiered terrace overlooking Village Lodge will provide an apres-ski atmosphere and diners can enjoy Yarrowโ€™s signature dishes throughout the day. The restaurant is the first in a series of food-and-beverage upgrades planned for the resort as part of a $100 million improvement plan.

Sourdough & Co

Sourdough & Co is a franchise-model, quick-service lunch restaurant specializing in sandwiches, soups, and salads. There are two locations of the restaurant planned for Northern Nevada, including one in South Reno in the neighborhood of Damonte Ranch Parkway and Double R Boulevard and a second in Sparks on Los Altos Parkway. Official opening dates have not been confirmed but both locations are listed as coming soon on the corporate website. Officials at the company, which started in Granite Bay, Calif. in 2015 by Steve Presson and began franchising in 2021, have plans to double in size in 2026. The first two Northern Nevada stores are part of that planned expansion.

Camaron Pelado Mexican Bar and Grill

Fernando Moreno announced plans to open Camaron Pelado Mexican Bar and Grill at the former Cantina Los 3 Hombres site in Victorian Square in Sparks. Moreno and his family hope to open the Mexican eatery, with ties to Carnitas y Tortas Ahogadas Guadalajara on Kietzke Lane, before the end of 2025. Two other locations of Carnitas y Tortas Ahogadas Guadalajara are in Las Vegas. The menu will include both authentic Mexican dishes and Mexican seafood, including specialties such as traditional carnitas and tortas ahogadas. Currently, there is a coming soon sign on the building.

Haven on Earth

The owners of Haven on Earth in Reno announced in September that they would open a second location of the popular gluten-free bakery in Sparks. While an opening date hasnโ€™t yet been announced, an address has. The new space will be in the Marina Marketplace on Prater Way. The bakeryโ€™s first location is on Double R Boulevard in South Reno. Dedicated to creating a space where gluten is never present, the bakery and deli serves breads, desserts, and lunch items made fresh in house, as well as offers custom cake orders.

Schussboom Brewing Company Becomes Gold Sponsor for U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree

This year, the U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree is coming from Nevada. And Schussboom Brewing Co. in Reno is part of the cross-country efforts to move the tree from the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest to Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe and eventually to Washington D.C. Along the way, through Nevada and Arizona, Schussboom will serve three beers made by them to celebrate โ€œThe Peopleโ€™s Tree.โ€ The three beers were sampled at Schussboomโ€™s after-party following the Mount Rose public viewing Oct. 25. They include Abies Magnifica, a nod to the treeโ€™s species, a hazy IPA dubbed Comstock Lode, and a Bavarian Pilsner named Ghost of Christmas Pils. All beers are available for purchase at the brewery in South Reno.

Karajillo & Co.

Karajillo & Co. is a new coffee-to-cocktails business opening in Downtown Reno. The concept comes from Sergio Romero and Rene Preciado, owners of Toro Bravo, which is just a few doors down. During the day, the restaurantโ€™s employees will serve coffee and pastries while in the evening hours the business will transform into a vibrant bar specializing in craft cocktails, fine wines, and artisanal beers. The owners hope to host a grand opening in November. The space previously housed Blind Dog Tavern, which shuttered on New Yearโ€™s Day. In addition to their collaborative Mexican steakhouse, Toro Bravo, Romero owns La Condesa in Reno while Preciado is the owner of Mexcal in Reno.

Silk Cafรฉ & Bar

Silk Cafรฉ & Bar, a modern Vietnamese restaurant and bar serving boba, coffee, and premium teas alongside a full lineup of classic Vietnamese dishes, will be opening in Sparks at the former location of Mi Pueblo on Prater Way. Silk Cafรฉ owners have teased their opening on social media, announcing a grand opening that’s just weeks away. Menu items include shrimp and tofu pad Thai, black pepper beef fillet noodles, and a fried chicken and rice plate. The business is brought to you by owners Toan Loi, the former chef de cuisine at the Asian Kitchen at Atlantis Casino Resort in Reno, and his wife Phoi Sin. Stop by for coffee and specialty drinks all day long or experience their signature cocktails, beer, and wine. The Mi Pueblo market, at 1450 E. Prater Way, Ste. 104, closed in October 2025. The business dates back to 1991 and merged with Cardenas Markets in 2017.

DOPO Truckee

Greg Buchheister, owner of Coffeebar (with California and Nevada shops) and DOPO in Reno, is opening a third DOPO location in The Old Lumberyard project in Downtown Truckee. While diners will enjoy the same core menu items as those at the Reno DOPO locations, guests can expect several original menu concepts at the Truckee location. Buchheister hopes to open Dec. 1. The Old Lumberyard was the home of Truckee Tahoe Lumber Co. from 1931 to 2020. Currently, it features artist lofts, EV charging stations, and transportation developments such as a transit center. It also will include an outdoor community gathering space and other food-and-beverage concepts, including FiftyFifty Brewing Co., which plans to move from its current Truckee location to the new center. Jake’s on the Lake

Jeff Hill, one of the managing partners for Jakeโ€™s on the Lake, just announced that the Tahoe City waterfront restaurant will close on Nov. 1 after nearly 50 years in business as the owners continue negotiations with their property management company. The hope is to reopen in May 2026 and only be open in the summers. Hill said thatโ€™s the only time the restaurant is profitable. But whether or not that will be possible is still up in the air.

Paris Baguette

Husband-and-wife team Jim Yoell and Eva Chen are bringing Paris Baguette to Reno. The couple are hoping to open their doors at 3923 and 3929 S. McCarran Blvd. in late 2025 or spring 2026. The franchise has more than 4,000 locations worldwide, including more than 200 in the U.S. The menu will specialize in freshly baked pastries, handcrafted cakes, and made-to-order coffees.

Bryant McDowell

Bryant McDowell was announced as the new state entomologist with Nevadaโ€™s Division of Plant Health and Compliance. Hailing from Texas, and earning his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in science from Texas A&M University, his new role oversees protection of agricultural and natural resources in the state from invasive pests, support for Nevada plant health programs, and the Nevada Department of Agriculture’s entomology laboratory and collection.

Land Ocean

Land Ocean is opening another location, this time in Spanish Springs, owner Karoline Platt confirmed. The new location (in the building that once hosted Mr. Crab and Campo) plans to open in February 2026 and will serve the same menu as other Land Ocean restaurants.

Sparks Christian Fellowship Food Pantry

Sparks Christian Fellowship Food Pantryย recently received a $8,300 grant fromย Raleyโ€™s Food For Families. The money will be used to add a new commercial freezer to the pantry, which allows for more fresh food options for the more than 150 families the pantry serves each week. This grant is part of an ongoing effort by Raleyโ€™s Food for Families to help food pantries meet community needs and grow their ability to serve.

Bayou Bites

Bayou Bites is expanding. The Fallon-based New Orleans-style restaurant is opening a second location in Gardnerville on Kimmerling Road. The storefront isn’t open just yet, but is planning for early October.

Cafe Catrina

Cousins Camila Melgarejo and Diana Lobato announced the opening of their mobile coffee cart business honoring their Mexican roots, Cafe Catrina. They plan to officially open in the next few weeks. The mobile business is currently offering drink orders delivered to local businesses while they await the final build-out of their cart. Once it’s ready, the cousins plan to offer private catering for events as well as pop-ups at community events across Northern Nevada, focused mainly in Reno and Carson City. The menu includes three main categories: signature lattes, fruit sodas with tres leche cold foam, and flavored waters. Combined, the duo brings eight years of coffee shop experience to their new venture. While they are beginning with a cart, the ultimate goal is to open a brick-and-mortar location.

Reno Revival

The owners of Reno Revival, the new casino-resort in development at the former Harrahโ€™s Casino site in Downtown Reno, announced several food-and-beverage offerings coming to the complex as early as 2026. A September press release unveiled plans for 180,000 square feet of space being developed on the ground floor of Reno Revival by Fine Entertainment, a Las Vegas-based hospitality group. Eight different businesses were announced: Mint will be a retro cocktail bar not unlike the Las Vegas business of the same name; sports fans will enjoy The George Sportsmenโ€™s Lounge, an elevated sports bar with a stadium entertainment feel; craft beer will take center stage at PKWY Tavern; Smelly Cat will host karaoke as well as other musical entertainment throughout the week; and a new steakhouse-style restaurant named The BLVD Grille will offer live music along wide steaks and a full cocktail bar. There are three additional, unnamed projects listed in the release โ€” a speakeasy, a country bar with line dancing, and an underground nightclub. Many of the named restaurants and bars have existing locations in Las Vegas and Henderson. While that may sound like a lot already, itโ€™s only the beginning of whatโ€™s in store for the Reno Revival and adjacent Reno Arch plaza. The multi-phase roll-out also has may include a Mexican restaurant and burger bar as well as additional concepts with new announcements coming soon. Madison Capital Group, a real estate firm out of North Carolina, owns the larger project with Fine Entertainment taking the reins on the food and beverage offerings.
