Edible Reno-Tahoe is a bimonthly print and digital magazine based in Reno, Nev., covering local food, drink, agriculture, and culture across Northern Nevada, Lake Tahoe, and Truckee. We connect readers to the people, places, and flavors that define our regional food-and-drink scene.
Who We Are
Edible Reno-Tahoe magazine is the region’s premier food-and-beverage publication. The magazine is published six times a year, including quarterly issues for each season, and promotes and celebrates the abundance of local foods in Northern Nevada and the Lake Tahoe region.
We value local, seasonal, authentic foods and culinary traditions. Edible Reno-Tahoe celebrates family farmers who plant the seeds and work tirelessly to bring you the freshest local produce; the ranchers and poultry farmers committed to creating healthier and more sustainable methods of working with animals and the land; the food artisans who proudly concoct delicious products; and the local chefs who continually excite us with the outstanding flavors of our area. We honor their dedication to using the highest quality, local, seasonal foods — and we want to share their stories with you.
What We Do
Through our printed publication, website, social media platforms, and newsletter, we aim to connect consumers with local growers, retailers, chefs, and food artisans — enabling those relationships to grow and thrive in a mutually beneficial, healthful, and economically viable way.
Edible Reno-Tahoe magazine is part of a growing national movement throughout the U.S. and Canada that encourages people to eat more locally grown and locally produced foods. By eating locally, we help sustain the small family farms that grow these foods, enjoy fresher and healthier meals, and reduce the cost to the environment — and in dollars — of transporting foods over long distances.
Our magazine is distributed throughout Northern Nevada, Northern California, and Lake Tahoe and can be found in restaurants, grocery stores, retailers, coffee shops, and other local establishments that celebrate the edible spirit.
Our Community
Here in Reno-Tahoe, we are blessed with an abundance of talented writers, photographers, and artists. That just happens to be part of our mission, too: to present the extraordinary voices of Reno-Tahoe creatives and coax from them the tales that don’t often get told.
