2026 Nevada Craft Beverage Passport

Posted on
The 2026 Nevada Craft Beverage Passport is celebrating its fifth year. The new passport, filled with specials and stampable pages for many participating breweries, wineries, and distilleries throughout the state, celebrated the milestone with a release party at Bristlecone Brewing Co. in Reno on Jan. 30. It was an especially memorable location given the passport’s first release party was held in the same venue when it was IMBIB Brewery. The passport is free and includes discounts for several participating businesses. It works as a way for Nevada residents to collect stamps while visiting participating craft beverage destinations. After receiving 10 stamps, passport-holders start winning prizes, including gift baskets, as well as tickets to Reno Rodeo, A Night in the Country concert festival, and 2027โ€™s Brew HaHa. The Nevada Craft Beverage Passport was created by the Nevada Department of Agriculture along with Made in Nevada and Travel Nevada. The goal is to increase support of the state’s agriculture and tourism industries as well as small businesses. There are 51 establishments included in the passport, which is free to patrons. The release party included awards for those businesses that have participated all five years, including 10 Torr Distilling and Brewing, Alibi Ale Works, Big Dogโ€™s Brewing Co., Black Rabbit Mead Company, Boulder Dam Brewing Co., Frey Ranch Distillery, Great Basin Brewing Co., High Mark Distillery, Kruze Road Winery, Lead Dog Brewing Co., Nevada Sunset Winery, North 5th Brewing Co., Revision Brewing Co., Schussboom Brewing Co., Shoetree Brewing Co., The Brewerโ€™s Cabinet, and The Depot Craft Brewery Distillery.

Parlay 6 Brewing Co. in Reno owners recently acquired a majority stake in Lead Dog Brewing Co. in Reno, taking over the brandโ€™s day-to-day operations. However, itโ€™s not a complete taproom takeover. Lead Dog ownership will remain active in the brandโ€™s ongoing development and long-term planning. While the business is changing behind the scenes, customers shouldnโ€™t expect a shift in the brewery experience. Beers from Parlay 6, Lead Dog, and Battle Born will be available at all locations, but the overall vibe and culture of each space will stay the same.

Magee wants to focus on his new position as head chef of La Strada inside of the Eldorado Hotel Casino. Yarrow

Yarrow just opened at Sugar Bowl Resort, located atop Donner Summit. The new chef-driven restaurant blends California-inspired cuisine with alpine soul. For the first time in its 87-year history, leaders at Sugar Bowl embarked on a major revitalization campaign to upgrade the resortโ€™s features, from skiable terrain to on-mountain dining. This includes an entirely revamped food and beverage experience in the Village Lodge, under the leadership of Sugar Bowl Culinary Advisor and acclaimed celebrity chef Traci Des Jardins, Beverage Director and hospitality veteran Clay Reynolds, and Executive Chef Robert Douglas. The project included a complete redesign of the buildingโ€™s culinary infrastructure, more than doubling the size of the kitchen and creating spaces that accommodate both sit-down dining and more casual gatherings on the outdoor Terrace. With a strong focus on seasonal, local ingredient sourcing from nearby vendors and farmers, Yarrow offers comforting, approachable dishes through a Californian lens โ€“ weaving together influences from American, Asian, European, and Middle Eastern cuisines. Complementing the menu is a robust beverage program spotlighting California wine producers and Yarrowโ€™s original โ€œAlpine Floraโ€ cocktail collection, inspired by wildflowers native to the Sierra Nevada and named in tribute to the restaurantโ€™s namesake, the yarrow flower. Each cocktail draws a connection to its floral inspiration through flavor or color. The 64-seat restaurant was designed in partnership with award-winning firm, BCV Architecture + Interiors, who led the remodel of the historic Village Lodge. Yarrow is open seven days a week 7:30 a.m. โ€“ 2 p.m. for breakfast and lunch and 5 โ€“ 9 p.m. for dinner.
