Living Stones Church
What is happening with the old Century Riverside 12 movie theater in Reno has been a topic of conversation since it closed in November 2024 with failed deals up until late 2025 when the owners of Living Stones Church bought the vacant building for$5 million.
While the main operation will be Sunday services and meeting rooms for church business and activities, Craig Parish says the plans are much larger than that. The goal is to create a multi-use community gathering space useable seven days per week. While no leases have been signed yet, the plans submitted to the City of Reno for approval include two street-level restaurants, an expanded outdoor patio, and a large coffee shop/co-working space. Parish says church leaders are already in talks with some potential businesses, including a brewery, but are also entertaining all potential tenants at this time. Interested parties can submit a tenant interest form to inquire about the open spots, which are proposed as a 3,080-square-foot restaurant, 3,291-square-foot restaurant, and 3,778-square-foot coffee shop, pending city approval.
