About the artist: Brooke Brazil
Brooke Brazil is a Sacramento-based artist specializing in illustration and murals. Born and raised on the island of Kauai, Brazil, in her art, combines inspiration from her many subsequent homes, including Reno, New York, Prague, and New Orleans. Her themes and style continue to evolve with every trip she takes. Her influences range from Art Deco to โ€™90s surf culture, nature, and, more recently, what home means in an ever-changing world/landscape. Many of her works include references to her fashion design background. She went to the Parsons School of Design in New York City, where she gained most of her textile and patterning knowledge.
