Getting Married In Reno-Tahoe

From all the excitement of planning, dress shopping, and securing vendors, it can be easy to overlook an important step in the wedding process: obtaining your marriage license. If you are getting married in the Reno-Tahoe area, be sure to get your Nevada (or California) wedding license before your wedding day. You can get your marriage license up to one year prior to the ceremony. Also, be sure that your officiant has authorization to perform marriages in the State of Nevada (or California). You can fill out the application online and make an appointment to get your license at the county clerk’s Office. Pay the fee for your Nevada or California wedding license. County staff members are friendly and knowledgeable and can help you through the process.

For couples who have a lot of guests coming from out of town, it is a good idea to look into reserving a hotel block. Hotels such as Whitney Peak, Renaissance Reno Downtown Hotel & Spa, and many more offer discounted rates for group stays. It is best to reach out well in advance because hotels in the Reno-Tahoe area book quickly and to secure the best rates for your guests.
