South Lake Brewing Co. operates the largest production craft brewery on the South Shore — all beers are brewed on-site at the original brewery location. Driven by a love for community, South Lake Brewing offers three family and dog-friendly spaces to savor their brews: an outdoor beer garden, a front patio, and an indoor tasting room with 16 craft beers on tap. Chow down on local fare from food trucks and enjoy free live music on Fridays and Saturdays. If you’re looking for even more South Lake Brewing action, visit the Libation Lodge across from Heavenly Village. This mountain oasis taproom features a full tap list, including craft beer, wine, and elevated pub food.

Hidden in remote corners of the Sierra Nevada region, these small-town breweries and taprooms pack the same punch as their big-city counterparts.
Three Sheets Brewing started many years ago as a hobby. The passion continued over the years and Gus Banuski, brewologist and lead brewer, took his love for beer to the next level: brewing. Originally from the Finger Lakes region in New York, Banuski has been living in Tahoe for the past 10 years. He and his friend, Ben Kimple, founded Tahoe Brew Tours, which brought beer lovers all around Lake Tahoe tasting beer from nearly every brewery in the area. With that, came an immense amount of experience and great knowledge about what beers are the best in the business. Banuski is a well known brewer in the community now and has created a tasty beer selection that people drive from all over to sample.
