There’s never been a better time to try vegan! The Reno Vegan Chef Challenge returns to kick off the New Year on January 1, 2023. Local chefs will be competing for your votes with creative and delicious plant-based menu options. Veganism is on the rise, and you’re invited to see why!
It’s easy to participate. Chefs can visit the website to see the guidelines and sign-up to join.
GO! Diners have one month—from Jan. 1 to Jan.31. Go to the Reno Vegan Chef Challenge Website to stay up-to-date on participating restaurants and menus as they are posted.
EAT! Sample the unique vegan dishes being offered by your favorite local restaurants!
VOTE! Vote for your favorites either at the restaurants or by Jan. 31 on the Reno Vegan Chef Challenge Website. Winning dishes will be announced in early February.
Reno is one of a growing list of cities across the U.S. hosting Vegan Chef Challenges, including Chicago, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Washington DC, Albuquerque NM, El Paso TX, Charlotte NC, Sacramento CA and more!
Participating restaurants include Smith and River, Liberty Food and Wine Exchange, The Grill at Quail Corners, Homegrown Gastropub, Great Full Gardens & The Kitchen, Cherry Bomb Catering, Wild River Grille, R Town Pizza, Süp, Thali, Cafe Capello, Pasta Fresca, Rolled Mountain Creamery, and Coffee N’ Comics.

10 Weeks to Vegan: Feel great about what’s on your plate!
The Vegan Chef Challenge invites diners to experience the many benefits of a plant-based diet by signing up for the free 10 Weeks to Vegan program. This guided challenge gives participants everything they need to get started with eating vegan. Each week, participants learn to replace one animal product with a vegan version, while receiving nutritional tips, product recommendations, and recipes. To learn more, please visit: www.10weeks.org
