Intocable, possibly one of the most influential groups in today’s Tejano music, is celebrating thirty years of award-winning music, racking up more than 20 Latin Top 10 hits along the way.
Their signature sound of strong hooks, with tightly stacked vocal harmony, and romantic story telling crafted fan favorites like Caminare, Te Perdono, Llueve, Eso Duele, Eres Mi Droga, Amor Maldito, and more.
The ride hasn’t been all smooth sailing, however. In 1999, the group tragically lost two band members, José Ángel Farias and Silvestre Rodrigues, plus their road manager José Ángel González in a car accident in Monterrey, Nuevo León. Their 1999 album, Contigo, included chart-topping El Amgio Que Se Fue, in honor of their fallen members, created a whole new wave of fans and success for the group.
Intocable has also become an award show standard, with two Latin Grammy for Best Norteño Album in 2005 and 2013, a Grammy for Best Norteño Album in 2011, and a Billboard Latin Music Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012.
