Fourth of July on the Comstock is about as patriotic as you can get. Virginia City’s Fourth of July is pure Americana with a jovial atmosphere all day and night. The streets are decked in red, white and blue. The parade is full of candy-throwing, classic cars and car clubs, first responders, military, veteran organizations and more. A free concert takes place before the fireworks with David John & the Comstock Cowboys. When it comes to the main show, you’re guaranteed to feel the boom of the fireworks in your bones as they shoot into the night sky over towering above the small mountain town.
