Live music and consistent conversation filled the air on Saturday. The brewery and taphouse proved it’s a place to reminisce about old times and old friends, or even meet up with new ones. Even with the large stainless steel brewing tanks alongside the walls, there is plenty of room to sit down and kick back.
Each craft beer that comes out of Virginia City Brewery & Taphouse gets its name from a mining story from Virginia City’s past or is based upon Virginia City’s community today. Several beers on tap include the 601 IPA, YellowJacket Honey Pale Ale, C Street Wheat, Marlette Red, Dirty Mucker Stout, and more. My personal favorite was the YellowJacket Honey Pale Ale, which is light enough to enjoy, but still full of flavor. On a typical night, you can enjoy a cold one while soaking in the small mining town atmosphere. It’s a great place to be during Virginia City’s special events, such as the Rocky Mountain Oyster Fry this weekend.
