About River School Farms
The River School Farm is a scenic garden venue located just outside downtown Reno along the Truckee River. Our outdoor space is great for weddings, elopements, corporate events, and celebrations of life. The event space is set in a verdant garden filled with flowers, fruit trees, pollinator plants, and various grape vines. Scattered throughout the venue is a curated collection of Art Deco terrazzo pieces from the historic Mapes Hotel & Casino.

Do you require a deposit?
We require a $500 holding/cleaning deposit that will be refunded after the event if everything is cleaned up.
When should I book?
It is recommended to book a year in advance. We do have occasionally a date less than a year ahead available. So please always check with us.
Do we have a required vendor list?
We do not have a set vendor list. You can bring your own outdoor vendors.
Are there any special requirements?
We do require a Certificate of Liability Insurance. We have a list of event insurance providers available for your convenience.
Do you have materials to assist with planning?
We have venue map for planning purposes and a venue equipment list(Sound system, wireless microphone, firepits/places, wood, etc.).
