Located in an early 1900s red brick house, Calafuria offers a warm, cozy atmosphere featuring elegant and modern interiors, a newly renovated cottage that serves as an elegant bridal lounge, a stone fireplace, a romantic secret garden with intimate nooks and corners in which to mingle and relax.

Chef and owner Tim Magee spent more than 15 years in Tuscany, Italy, where he learned all the secrets of regional cuisines from incredible cooks, master chocolatiers, and Tuscan butcher maestros. With his Italian wife, Cristina, they ran their own restaurant, which was mentioned in the most important national Restaurant guidebooks, including Michelin, and he worked at Noma, in Copenhagen, considered one of the world’s best restaurants.

Wishing to bring high-quality, authentic, Italian cuisine to Reno, in 2016 the two opened Calafuria.

Calafuria is unique in that all dishes are prepared on site in the professional kitchen. Libations include a great selection of cult European wines, craft and non-alcoholic beers, amari, mocktails, and signature cocktails.

Top-quality custom menus are designed for each wedding and special event, using food made in house with the finest ingredients. If you’re curious, taste the cuisine! Open to the public for dinners Thurs. – Sat.
