Lox, Stock & Two Smoking Bagels
Lox, Stock & Two Smoking Bagels had a rough start and continues to struggle to stay in business. A year after signing the lease, the make-your-own bagel shop opened in early 2024, only to close a month later to recalibrate. The owner of the Downtown Reno breakfast-and-lunch eatery (serving bagels, sandwiches, soup, and beers on tap) started a GoFundMe campaign to raise $50,000 in donations, saying โall funds would go toward paying off suppliers, which are in arrears, and hiring new staff to support increasing demand.โ Although the business did briefly reopen, in mid-April, a sign was once again posted in its window declaring it was closed temporarily. Weโll be watching to see whether this business can get off the ground.
