Sow and Grow Part 2

The second event of the Slow Food Lake Tahoe Grow Your Own series will provide the community with locally grown, organic, first come first served seedling sale.  They will have frost tolerant lettuce, vegetables, herbs and flowers for purchase as well as summer crops like tomatoes, squash and herbs.  They will also have seeds available for purchase of our favorite varieties we like to grow from seeds.  

 There will be different Educational classes 20-30 minutes long at the start of each hour by local gardeners with years of experience growing in Truckee’s harsh conditions.

 In addition to the plant sale and classes, there will some light food to warm our bellies.
