Sow and Grow Part 1

Join Slow food Lake Tahoe for an evening in the garden as they celebrate spring gardening in the High Sierra. This will be a 2 part event with the first event focusing on early season root crops like onions, potatoes and radishes, seeds for starting indoors as well as outdoors, and some early season cold tolerant lettuce and vegetable varieties will be available for purchase. They will have a wide selection of our favorite tried and true garden varieties for the High Sierra.

There will be Educational classes 20-30 minutes long at the start of each hour by local gardeners with years of experience growing in Truckee’s harsh conditions.

In addition to the plant sale and classes, there will be educational activities for kids and some light food to warm our bellies.
