Opening night of the festival features an exciting new ensemble, and a celebrated artist returning to Reno. The Balourdet Quartet- recent recipients of Chamber Music America’s Classical Commissioning Grant- have been widely heralded since forming at Rice University in 2018. Pianist Tanya Bannister joins the Quartet as both an award-winning pianist and the recently announced President of Concert Artists Guild. The renowned agency has recently added the Balourdet to their roster of performing arts from around the world.
