Perennial and native plants add color, wildlife habitat and food for bees, butterflies and other pollinators. They can also help protect your fruits and veggies from insects and regenerate the soil. In this workshop we welcome Christopher MacKessy, Smithridge Elementary science teacher, and native plants enthusiast to share his expertise!
This class will cover how to select plants for your garden, how to maintain them, as well as how to turn your space into a full fledged food forest that yields food year round. Everyone will go home with a perennial plant, and one lucky Dead Plant Society attendee will take home one of our favorite books “Gaia’s Garden”.
