Roberto’s Taco Shop is still growing. The family-owned business, specializing in tacos, burritos, enchiladas, and other Mexican cuisine, opened its first Northern Nevada location in 2016. On Oct. 16, 2025, the business celebrated its sixth store in the region, opening on Tierra Del Sol Parkway in Sparks.

There are many more locations of Roberto’s in Southern Nevada, California, and Texas, all owned by members or extensions of the Robledo family. The company first started in 1964 in San Ysidro as a tortilla factory before quickly expanding into a traditional taco shop in San Diego.
