The soft opening for Rising for the People Coffee Co. on Vesta Street in Midtown Reno is July 15, 2025, (and the grand opening is July 25, 2025). The business, owned by Skyler Jones, started online in 2022 and expanded to distributing at local farmers’ markets, Haven on Earth Bakery in Reno, and local events. The company partners with farms that use chemical-free farming methods and prioritizes fair-trade practices. Today’s business opening included the unveiling of a $3,000 mural project paid for by the City of Reno.
