The Ritz Carlton, Lake Tahoe in Truckee is opening a new slope-side dining concept on Oct. 23, 2025, dubbed Montesa. The modern cantina will serve elevated Mexican street food and spirits with specialties that include heirloom corn masa tortillas made in house daily and salted-rim cocktails. The restaurant’s moniker is inspired by the Spanish word for rugged mountain to punctuate its location in the Sierra Nevada and as an apres-ski destination.
