Thrive Infusion

Does your immune system need a glutathione intravenous infusion? Glutathione has been called “the mother antioxidant” because our immune and detoxification systems can’t function without it. Anti-aging glutathione supports liver function, helps remove free radicals and heavy metals from the body, and assists in preventing disease. It’s essential for the immune system’s proper functioning and is vital in building and repairing tissue.

Chronic stress, chronic infection, environmental toxins, injuries, many medical treatments, and poor diets all lead to glutathione deficiency. Many people are deficient in glutathione, and the experts at Thrive Infusion in Reno can get you back on track with an IV infusion.

CoolSculpting by Marci

CoolSculpting reportedly targets and eliminates stubborn fat for good. CoolSculpting is a fat reduction method that finds and removes fat from the areas where it tends to persist.

The procedure is nonsurgical, so you can typically return to normal activities immediately, which means no downtime. Marci Eckhoff, owner of CoolSculpting by Marci in Reno, will work with you to decide whether you are a candidate and develop a personalized treatment plan that’s quite literally made for you.

Sierra Sleep Airway and Wellness Center/Sierra Smiles

With summer days upon us, it’s important to maintain children’s sleep schedules and routines. Healthy sleep habits not only lead to better behavior, they also promote positive growth and development in our youths. While consistency in bedtime routines plays a big part, issues with the airway can impact sleep detrimentally … that’s where Dr. John Bocchi and the team of experts at Sierra Sleep Airway and Wellness Center in Reno come in.

“As we have evolved and our diets have changed, human skulls are a lot smaller than what they used to be, and it’s changing people’s airways,” Bocchi explains. “If you aren’t breathing right, you aren’t sleeping right.”

Bocchi encourages parents with children as young as newborn babies to bring them in for an airway screening.

“We want to make sure there are not any areas of concern,” he adds. “Babies are screened for airway issues, as well as tongue ties. These issues can easily be missed, and it’s important to encourage healthy suckling from the beginning of life. Babies can have issues nursing, and habits like pacifiers and thumb sucking can cause growth and development issues in the jaw, which then can lead to airway and sleep issues.”

Airway screening is available for toddlers, tweens, and teens, too. With a quick examination, checking the facial structure, tongue, tonsils, and jaw development, along with a simple home sleep test, a clinician can determine if a second, more comprehensive assessment is needed to determine next steps. There are many guides and mouth appliances that help the jaw develop properly to prevent and/or treat airway and sleep-related disorders.

The simple home sleep tests that are worn on your finger allow greater insight if there is a sleep and airway disorder present. Many people are unaware that they or their children have airway and/or sleep disorders.

“We make it as simple as possible with the home sleep test, and this gives us a great snapshot of how you or your loved one is sleeping at night,” Bocchi says. “Sleep well at night knowing you are being proactive in your and your child’s health by getting screened.”
