Desolation Hotel, a new eco-luxury micro-resort opening in South Lake Tahoe in May 2022, is hosting a fundraising drive and event, where 100% of donations will be split evenly and benefit the Wildland Firefighter Foundation and the El Dorado Community Foundation’s Caldor Fire Fund. All donations up to a total of $50,000 will be matched dollar for dollar by Desolation Hotel and Maggie’s Restaurant and Bar, with the goal of raising $100,000. Click here to donate.
Desolation Hotel is hosting a donation-based, kid-friendly Halloween Spookytacular at the site of the future property on Halloween from 3-6pm. Halloween Spookytacular will feature trick or treating, carnival games, music, food and drinks. Suggested donations at the door are $100 per family, although everyone is welcome, and donations of any size are appreciated. Costumes optional but encouraged.
