Relocations
Need 2 Speed
Need 2 Speed moved locations from the shopping center near Target in South Reno to Northtowne Marketplace in North Reno on April 28, 2025. The new facility features a multilevel go-kart track, duckpin bowling, mini golf, and an arcade, plus a full restaurant and two bars with elevated offerings and outdoor drink service.
Nozzleman Pizza
Nozzleman Pizza sparked closure rumors, but lucky for fans of the firefighter-themed pizza place in Sparks, the business is simply relocating. The new spot will be in Carson City.
Pure Country Canteen
Pure Country Canteen has moved. Once a pillar of line dancing and country music in Sparks, as of March 21, 2025, the country bar and dance hall has moved to South Virginia Street in Reno offering an 8,100-square-foot venue open seven days per week. Rest assured, the famous mechanical bull made the move as well!
Gambi’s Restaurant
That didn’t take long: Gambi’s Restaurant reopened in Sparks at 55 Nugget Ave. after leaving its Somersett address behind.
DOPO Pizza & Pasta
DOPO Pizza & Pasta is making a move from its St. Lawrence Avenue location to the old Sizzle Pie building near The Pioneer Center, after the latter closed abruptly last year.
Chicken in a Barrel
Chicken in a Barrel finally moved into a bigger location. The grand opening took place over St. Patrick’s Day weekend, commemorating a shift from the Y in South Lake Tahoe to a 2,600-square-foot space inside the Whole Foods complex at the corner of Lake Tahoe Boulevard and Herbert Avenue. The food and the employees are staying the same, but much else will change. Smoking barrels were placed indoors. There are 16 beer taps plus other alcohol offerings, and state-of-the-art audio will accompany sporting events played on the TVs. The best advancement, however, is the space itself. Now there’s room for 102 patrons inside and another 60 on the outside patio.
Crooked Wine Co.
Crooked Wine Co., an alcohol wholesaler in Reno, changed locations. According to City of Reno documents, the business will move to 4655 Longley Lane, Ste. 101.
