Back-to-School Shopping & Dining Done Right at The Outlets at Legends

Peruse child-friendly dining menus in between stores at this one-stop shopping destination.

It may feel like summer just started, but the first day of school is already knocking at our doors. In just a few weeks, young people will be back in classrooms (perhaps for the first time in over a year), and they need new wardrobes for the season that consist of more than the pajamas they tried to make double as active wear. The folks at The Outlets at Legends in Sparks know one thing for sure: Paying full-price for clothing your child will outgrow before spring semester feels like a waste. Luckily, stores at Legends offer up to 70 percent off retail prices every day, plus back-to-school sales that make looking cool affordable at every age.

What does any of this have to do with food, you ask? If you’ve ever jutted from store to store to get everything your children need for the first day of school, you know having it all in one place is a godsend — including lunch and dinner. So regardless of when you get your shopping done, there are plenty of options for both dining and dressing in style, and both are child-approved.

With more than a dozen dining and drinking options available, it’s easy to please any appetite while shopping at Legends. Make it a family affair by taking the whole brood for pizza at Grimaldi’s Pizzeria, where family-sized meals are easy to come by.

The thin-crust pizzas come in three sizes — 12-, 16-, and 18-inch — so you can feed the whole fam without breaking the bank (and Mom and Dad can unwind with a glass of vino). Not to mention that the topping choices are nearly endless, so everyone can get something they like.

If the focus is on a quick meal between shops, Jersey Mike’s is a fresh option for satisfying children and their parents. In addition to the regular menu, those with smaller appetites can build their own sandwiches and make it a kid’s meal, complete with a delicious cookie and refreshing drink to keep shoppers fueled through the retail adventure.

Somewhere in between the sit-down experience offered at Grimaldi’s and the quick-grab lunch at Jersey Mike’s is Great Full Gardens, turning out healthy, organic meals for the whole family, and a kids’ menu that isn’t short on options.

Refuel with something filling and healthy, at a cost that sounds as good as the outlet’s summer sales. Items such as cheese pizza; spaghetti marinara; a peanut butter, honey, and banana sandwich; and Lil Titan chicken breast with broccoli and brown rice come in at $5 or less.

For Mexican fare, unwind at Cantina Los Tres Hombres or Burrito Bandito. For sushi, there’s Kissho Sushi. And for coffee and sweets, Gramma Gina’s/Gianna’s Café is located inside of Scheels.

That’s only the tip of the iceberg for dining at Legends, which also boasts family-friendly atmospheres at chain eateries such as The Habit Burger Grill and Blaze Pizza (where children can customize their own pies with a range of toppings including meat, cheese, and vegetables). The newest eatery is Sizl Burger, a rebranding of the previous BurgerIM, that kicks tired burgers up a notch with a gourmet menu.

If you have multiple children in tow, there may be a need for some bribery. Or it could be a trade-off for negotiating mom-approved fashions into the wardrobe. Either way, the promise of a sweet treat may be the best bargaining chip parents have up their sleeves. Freshberry Frozen Yogurt Café is a delicious destination for everyone in the family. Start with a base of your favorite yogurt flavor before loading it up with candy and fruit. Or choose from a menu of fruit smoothies and popsicles — any choice is right when you’re looking to cool down on a hot day.

When it comes to satisfying your tastes, whether in clothing and accessories or food and dessert, The Outlets at Legends is the place to be. Stop by today and experience shopping like it’s meant to be, with brands you know and savings you’ll love.
